Moonlite Sonataa possesses a heritage of legend rivaled by few horses in the straight Egyptian world. Her full siblings include the lovely mare Minuet in G, rising star stallion Botswana, and the late 3-time South African National Champion stallion and movie star Thee Cyclone, who was selected by Disney to portray Walter Farley’s beloved Black Stallion in the 2004 IMAX movie The Young Black Stallion.

When Lyn first saw Moonlite, the mare was covered by a thick coat of winter hair, but Lyn could tell that there was something special about her. And with the mare’s pedigree, Lyn knew Moonlite belonged as part of her broodmare band, so she purchased her in foal to Pimlico RCA from Frank and Pat Bradish of Twin Hickory Arabians. That very first foal, Magic Trifecta, was exported to Italy.

Moonlite Sonataa is a rare liver chestnut color and produces foals with her elegant carriage and presence. Though never shown herself, her movement is captivating to watch, and it is clear by both the success of her full siblings as well as her own foals that breeders worldwide recognize the power of her potential to create foals of the highest quality.

Foals

In 2004, Moonlite Sonataa produced her very first foal, a bay colt by Pimlico RCA, and the world took notice. World-famous breeding farm Fontanella Magic Arabians, located in Naples, Italy, purchased the colt, brought him to Italy, and named him Magic Trifecta in anticipation of great things to come. He is just beginning his breeding career there among illustrious National Champions from all over the world.

In 2006, Moonlite foaled LL Sirocco, a full brother to Magic Trifecta. Sirocco competed successfully in the Egyptian Breeder’s Challenge at the 2007 Egyptian Event and is offered for sale as an outstanding performance gelding. Learn more about him on our sales page.

Moonlite’s 2007 foal, El Riyah LL, is a gelding by 2007 Egyptian Event Reserve Senior Champion Stallion Mishaal HP, who was imported from Germany to breed to wonderful mares like Moonlite.
