As striking and beautiful as her exotic name, Balyanna was LynLee’s second broodmare. A Thee Desperado daughter, Balyanna loved being part of the show string as a young filly, relishing the attention and pampering she received in the Arabians Ltd. show barn. When it was time for her to begin her new role as a mother, she required some time to adjust—she wasn’t sure she wanted to leave the glamour of the show ring behind. When she became a mother, however, she settled into her life as a broodmare, raising babies who are as sweet and friendly as she is. Her mother, Minstrils Dream, carried the blood of rare horses imported from Australia to enhance the blood of Egyptian Arabians in the United States.

With an unusual blaze, beautiful roaning, and the striking multi-colored mane and tail typical of Minstril-bred horses, Balyanna makes people stop and look when they pass by. She is tall, elegant, and keeps a short, shiny coat all year long, as if to remind us that she’s still a proud show horse, even in her new role as a mother to show-winning babies.

Show Record

Purchased by LynLee as a yearling, Balyanna had a successful show career before becoming a mother. At the 2001 Egyptian Event, she was Top Five in the Egyptian Breeders Challenge, and in 2002, she was shown to a Top Five win in the Amateur Handler 2 Year Old Filly Class. That same year, she was named to the Top 10 in the 2 Year Old Filly Futurity class.

Foals

In 2004, she gave birth to her first filly, LL Shara Sunrise, a lovely chestnut by the striking stallion Thee Asil. Sunrise is now owned by The Koala Group, LLC, and Melvin Vaughan.

Her 2005 gelding by Pimlico RCA, LL Shara Wind, is a handsome bay with the sweetest temperament, combining the best of his father and mother. He’s now proudly owned by Christine Amerman of Kentucky.

Born in 2006, LL Starsong is Balyanna’s first filly by Pimlico RCA, and she is stunning. Just like her older brother, she exhibits an amazing calm temperament in addition to a delicate beauty that sets her apart. Starsong is now owned by Dr. Dennis and Roxanne Parks of Isis Arabians, and she made her Egyptian Event show ring debut in 2007, achieving a third place win for her new owners!

Balyanna’s 2007 foal, LL Shahdar, is a great grey gelding by Mishaal HP. He made the trip north to Tennessee to be spoiled and loved by his new owner, 11-year-old Jaxine McKay Annett.

On St. Patrick’s Day, 2009, Balyanna delivered Bint Bint Dreamer LL, an Egyptian Arabian princess by Pimlico RCA! This gorgeous bay filly has her mother’s fine coat and is going to be a real contender in the show ring. She’s currently in training for the 2010 Egyptian Event! Happy Easter 2010!!!! The Easter Bunny and Balyanna brought us a beautiful chestnut filly by 2009 Egyptian Event Supreme Champion Stallion and Leading Sire Botswana, eligible to compete in the 2011 EBC class!
